Netscape Version 4

1. To start up Netscape Composer, either click on your "Start menu," then "Programs" to load , or click on the inbox on the lower right-hand corner of your Netscape Communicator (the web browser) screen. Once that opens, you will be prompted with a window titled "Creating A New Profile." Click "Next."
   
   
2. Now you will need to enter your personal information. Your Full Name is the name that you would like to appear as the sender name on the e-mails you send. Your E-mail Address is your Texas Broadband e-mail address. Click "Next" to continue.
   
   
   
   
3. The next screen is used to name your profile, and identify where Netscape should store it. You can safely accept the defaults by clicking "Next."
   
   
   
   
4. On the next screen, for your outgoing SMTP server, enter "smtp2.sjc.newedgenetworks.com". Click "Next" to continue.
   
   
   
   
5. This screen is used to identify yourself to the Texas Broadband mail servers. Your username is your whole e-mail address so if your e-mail address is asung@texasbroadband.com, then your username would be asung@texasbroadband.com. Enter your incoming mail server as "mail.texasbb.com", and click "Next" to continue.
   
   
   
   
6. Click on "Finish."

The first screen you will be presented with prompts you for your password. Simply enter in the password used for your Texas Broadband account, and wait for Netscape to finish downloading your mail.
